Varun Dhawan has done the same with Govinda’s songs. Now, Radhika Apte is set to join the club. She will be paying tribute to singer Asha Bhosle. But instead of performing at an awards show, the Phobia star will perform at a public venue in Mumbai. © Provided by Hindustan Times
A source close to the actor says, “Radhika is trained in contemporary dance. She took a professional course in the dance form in London (UK). The actor will pay tribute to Ashaji by dancing on her popular tracks such as ‘Aaj rapat jaye to’ (Namak Halaal; 1982), ‘Jaane do na’ (Saagar; 1985), etc. Radhika will perform with choreographer Terence Lewis. The duo will showcase a mix of contemporary and Latin dance forms. The performance will take place on September 8.”
When contacted, Radhika confirmed the news, and said, “If there is one thing I’m passionate about besides acting, it’s dancing. I am excited about paying tribute to someone like Asha tai. I will be performing on some of her beautiful songs.”
